Back to the Grind

7 12 2009

When we arrived at Glasgow Airport there were crowds of people, journalists and photographers waiting. I was touched that we had been missed so much and that national newspapers were keen to get the first scoop on our adventure. Turns out they were more interested in the bloke John had been speaking to on the plane – the manager of Hapoel Tel-Aviv, here to play Celtic FC on the Wednesday night.

Since then it has been back to the grind – literally, in the cafe, and metaphorically in other areas of life. The Christmas tree went up the next day, John left for his staff conference for three days and I’ve played catch up with washing and housework ever since. It’s good to be back.

I’ll muse some more and pass on my reflections of the trip later in the week.
